Explore Your New Career

Apprenticeship combines classroom studies with on-the-job training supervised by a Journey level trade professional. Much like a college education, it takes several years to become fully trained in the occupation you choose. Unlike college, though, as an apprentice you'll earn while you learn. Starting wages are around 50% of journey level rates. As you learn more, you earn more. Once you've graduated from a state registered apprenticeship program, you will receive at least journey level wages for your chosen career.

“I thought I wanted to be a teacher, but decided I didn't want to sit at a desk all the time. I wanted to work with my hands and actually see progress. I love my job, and I’m a lot happier at the end of the day.” - Olivia Walters Electrical Apprentice
