Additional Resources

Every apprentice has different life situations and needs. This page offers a list of resource groups that are available to support those interested in apprenticeship. Please contact each group directly for qualification requirements and specific resource information.

Once you've been accepted into an apprenticeship, there are some basic items you may need to invest in to work on your job site and earn while you learn. This can be challenging for first-year apprentices; luckily, there are programs and resources available that can help with the costs of starting your apprenticeship.

2-1-1 Washington
211 is a free, confidential community service and one-stop connection to your local services, from utility assistance, food, housing, health, childcare, after-school programs, elder care, crisis intervention, and much more.

Community Action Partnership
The Washington State Community Action Partnership’s network of 30 Community Action Agencies offer over 120 different programs and services to their clients in all counties of our state. The programs and services that each agency provide are based on a triennial community needs assessment. This means that each agency in our network caters to the individual needs of their community.

Washington Connection offers you a fast and easy way to apply for a variety of public benefits. This may save you having to visit or call an office in some cases. Services for families and individuals include:

To promote collaborative services to participants returning to free society through Accountability and Accessibility, while developing strategies in their individual lives to “Strive and Thrive” by offering a “Net” that “Works” of support. Reentry support services including pre and post prison release readiness, health and recovery, job readiness, mentorship, and wrap around services. ​

As a community-centered and culturally-responsive organization, we come from, are in, and are directed by the community we seek to serve – Black, Indigenous, and Communities of Color who have been impacted by mass incarceration. We create space for collective healing and liberation by seeing each other for our humanity, meeting needs as defined by individuals and by the community, and amplifying the power that already exists among us. the institution of mass incarceration and heal its traumatic effects on individuals directly impacted by incarceration, on their loved ones, and on our community.

988 Suicide Prevention Lifeline

Starting July 16, 2022, callers can reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by dialing 988, and calls placed without an area code will no longer work in Washington. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the U.S. If you or someone you know needs help, please don't hesitate to share and reach out. ​
